Dorset to Frinton (via Camden)
16 June 2015
With AS Levels finished, schools are keener than ever to engage with Hertford and encourage their most talented students to aim high. Last week Dr Catherine Redford, Hertford’s Outreach Fellow, made visits to SEEVIC College, Tendring Technology College and Chelmsford County High School – all in our linked areas.
While in college we welcomed groups from John Leggott College in Scunthorpe, The Blue School in Somerst, and Mayfield Grammar Schol in Kent, as well as offering tours to schools making visits to Brasenose and The Queen’s College. This week we’ve provided lunch for a group of potential Geographers and made an outreach visit to Acland Burghley School in Camden. and tomorrow we welcome Thomas Hardye School from Dorset. Then on Thursday and Friday Catherine’s out on the road again, this time to visit Westcliff High School for Boys and to take part in an ‘Insight to Higher Education’ day at the University of Essex. And that’s all before we get to the Open Days!
