If you would like to set up your own standing order, send a cheque, sign up to the Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme or send a gift of shares or assets, please see below. Cheque
Should you wish to send a cheque, make it payable to Hertford College Donations and send it to Development Office, Hertford College, Oxford OX1 3BW. Please ensure that you either complete one of the forms below and send it with your cheque, or include a letter stating how you would like your gift to be used.

Give As You Earn (GAYE)
You can make a gift to Hertford from your pre-tax salary via the Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme. Your HR department should be able to help set this up.

Shares and assets
It is possible to make a gift of shares or assets to Hertford. These gifts can be transferred to the college free of Capital Gains Tax. Please, email us at development.office@hertford.ox.ac.uk.

Tax-efficient giving
Hertford is a registered charity, so all gifts are tax-free.
If you are a UK tax payer, we can reclaim the basic rate tax on your donation via Gift Aid.
If you are a higher rate tax payer, you can reclaim the difference between the basic and higher rate of tax in your tax return.

Giving from abroad
Overseas donors form a core part of Hertford’s support base. As our alumni body becomes increasingly international, so too does our donor family. We are enormously grateful for the support we receive from our overseas supporters and we try to make it as easy as possible for you to donate.

Donors can make a gift via the university’s North American Office by making a donation online or returning a US donation form above.

Canada
Donors can download an international donation form above to send to us. Hertford College is recognised by the Canadian Revenue Agency as part of the University of Oxford’s status as a prescribed institution under Section 3503 of the Canadian Income Tax Regulations. On receipt of your donation, we will ensure that you are sent a receipt for Canadian tax purposes.
