Give As You Earn (GAYE)
You can make a gift to Hertford from your pre-tax salary via the Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme. Your HR department should be able to help set this up.
Shares and assets
It is possible to make a gift of shares or assets to Hertford. These gifts can be transferred to the college free of Capital Gains Tax. Please, email us at email@example.com.
Hertford is a registered charity, so all gifts are tax-free.
If you are a UK tax payer, we can reclaim the basic rate tax on your donation via Gift Aid.
If you are a higher rate tax payer, you can reclaim the difference between the basic and higher rate of tax in your tax return.
Use this calculator to find out how much gift aid is worth on your gift and how much you could reclaim if a higher rate taxpayer: http://www.candidmoney.com/calculators/gift-aid-calculator
Giving from abroad
Overseas donors form a core part of Hertford’s support base. As our alumni body becomes increasingly international, so too does our donor family. We are enormously grateful for the support we receive from our overseas supporters and we try to make it as easy as possible for you to donate.
