Two Hertford students to play in the Varsity Rugby match on 2 March
29 February 2024
Two Hertford students will be playing for the Dark Blues on Saturday, as they take on Cambridge in the Varsity rugby match at the StoneX Stadium. Zed Nott (MPhil Political Theory) and Lilla Berry (2nd year English and Modern Languages) are part of the starting line-up on the Women’s* side. Zed has a long OURFC career behind her, having played for the Pumas (3rd team), Panthers (2nd team) and now in her second year for the Blues. Lilla had to miss out on last year’s Varsity match due to injury, so will be ready to prove herself on Saturday.
In a statement, Zed and Lilla said: ‘The special part of the Oxford college system is that it allows you to not only play Uni sports but also represent your college in a more sociable, but nonetheless extremely competitive environment. Some of the best memories we’ve had at Oxford have been playing Hertford rugby and the close college friendships we have formed throughout the years.’
A small number of general admission and student tickets are still available.
