Charlie Beard

Hi, I’m Charlie and I’ve just finished my third and final year studying maths at Hertford.

I’ve loved my time here, and I am really looking forward to the chance to talk to alumni about their experiences of the best college in Oxford! I’ve been heavily involved in sport during my time here, in particular captaining the rugby team, and helping to organise this summer’s tour to Mongolia. I’ve also enjoyed the social side of college life, working in (and frequenting) the bar, and spending too much time sat in OB quad on a “break” from the library. Next year I plan to travel to Tulwap in Western Kenya to teach in a local secondary school, before starting a career as an Actuary in September 2018.
