Next Steps Essex
In collaboration with Emmanuel College, Cambridge, our Next Steps Essex programme introduces Year 12 students to Oxbridge and equips them with the information they need to make their next steps.
The programme consists of three virtual webinars, spread across the first half of Year 12, which introduce Oxford and Cambridge, including what makes them distinctive, what courses they offer and what the application process involves. Students will hear from outreach staff from Hertford and Emmanuel and will get the opportunity to take part in Q&As with some of our current undergraduates.
In this academic year, the webinars will take place from 5:00pm to 6:30pm on the following dates:
- Weds 18th January – Year 12 – Introduction to Oxbridge
- Weds 1st February – Year 11 – Introduction to Oxbridge
- Weds 1st March – Year 11 & 12 – Critical Thinking – Study skills and Oxbridge applications
- Weds 8th March – Year 12 – Personal statements
- September 2023 (date TBC) – Year 13 – Oxbridge interview workshop
