Ellen MacDonald
Sustainability Manager
Ellen is responsible for helping the College achieve its sustainability goals. This is a new full-time role in the College, to help deliver our ambitious 2030 vision for sustainability. She will work across all College departments, engaging with fellows, staff and students, to reduce our impact on the environment.
She manages the College utilities, develops strategies to reduce carbon emissions and improve biodiversity. She is also secretary to the College Sustainability Working group. You can read more about Sustainability at College on our dedicated webpage.
Ellen has a background in climate research with a PhD in Earth Sciences from the University of Glasgow. She previously worked as Environmental Sustainability Officer for St Antony’s College, Oxford. Ellen would love to hear from any interested fellows, staff or students who would like to know more about sustainability at the College and how they can make a difference.
