With our prestigious location at the heart of Oxford, surrounded by famous University buildings, we’re the ideal location for your special event. Whether you’re one of our alumni or you’ve just discovered Hertford, please get in touch with our Events Office to discuss your requirements. Current students, staff and fellows should complete the room and private dinner booking forms available on the college intranet.
A champion of excellence in fine dining, Hertford provides exemplary service and great tasting seasonal food, plated beautifully. We are delighted to host private dining of up to 120 people in our dining hall. The hall is accessed via the notable Jackson Staircase which was built in the 1880s and overlooks the Radcliffe Camera and the Bodleian Library.
Our innovative team delivers the best of responsibly-sourced produce – local, sustainable and ethical – to serve our two, three or four course meals. We charge a venue fee which includes use of the space, candles, napkins, menus, a seating plan, and the hire of glassware. We can also arrange additional items (including chair hire, table cloths, place cards, flowers etc.) should you wish.
Meeting room hire
With an unbeatable location in central Oxford, Hertford College provides the ideal location to host meetings. We have a number of rooms available for board room meetings of up to 24 people with different catering packages available to add on.
Hertford offers highly-regarded English as a foreign language courses and academic subject summer programmes out of term time which utilise the majority of our conferencing facilities. On occasion, we do have capacity to host conferences in college accommodation along side our own international programmes.
