Welcoming our three new Early Career Research Fellows

We’re delighted to welcome Hannah August, Xinyu Li and Jesse Taylor-West to Hertford as Early Career Research Fellows. 

Their research spans early modern literature, health economics and applied mathematics as follows: 

Hannah August works in the field of English Literature, specialising in early modern book history. She joins Oxford as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow, investigating the provenance histories of 17th-century copies of English dramatic works held in libraries across Australia and New Zealand. 

Xinyu Li is a health economist whose research interests include microsimulation modelling and precision medicine. Her work explores how real-world evidence and clinical trials can inform better treatment and reimbursement decisions in chronic disease. 

Jesse Taylor-West is an applied mathematician with research interests in non-Newtonian and environmental fluid dynamics. His current work employs asymptotic and numerical methods alongside experimental and observational data to better understand the non-linear dynamics of volcanological flows. 

We look forward to welcoming Hannah, Xinyu and Jesse to the Hertford community and cheering on their research during their time here!
