Successful completion of the Swiftstream outreach programme

We were delighted to welcome a group of 21 sixth-formers to Hertford for the Swiftstream residential last week.

Students from Medway, one of our link areas, were welcomed to Hertford for a busy three days of exploring Oxford as the final step of the Swiftstream outreach programme, which they started online back in November 2024.

The scheme aims to support participants to explore academic ideas beyond the classroom and build their thinking skills, gain confidence in making decisions about university and what to study in the future, and discover what Oxford is really like by meeting our students, staff and tutors.

Our Swiftstreamers had the chance to explore the University Open Days, participate in admissions workshops on personal statements and interviews and even went on a ghost tour of Oxford!

We were thrilled to welcome them to Hertford as part of our ongoing outreach efforts and wish them all the best with their next steps.
