‘Chasing Utopia’: A film that might change the way you see everything…

Hertford Visiting Fellow Anthony Geffen’s new feature documentary Chasing Utopia is now live in Everyman Cinemas.

Hertford College were delighted to host a private screening at the Weston Library in February, followed by a panel with Anthony Geffen, Lina Zilinskaite, Dr Laura Gilbert, and Professor Carissa Véliz, who is interviewed in the film.

Chasing Utopia asks:

Will AI be our greatest achievement or our greatest downfall? Mo Gawdat, best-selling author of Scary Smart and Solve for Happy, podcaster to millions, software engineer and former chief business officer to Google X, has been on a journey for the last two years across the world to find out.

Following its release last Friday, reviews have already been published in The Times and the Guardian. It has also been featured on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme.
