Susie Orbach: What are we to make of Bodies in this time?

Writer and psychoanalyst, Susie Orbach joined us for our first ever online John Donne lecture.

She explored experiences of disembodiment as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic from the perspective of a psychoanalyst working remotely. This lecture looks at the personal body and how it is being disturbed by social distancing and reflects on whether the dematerialization of interactions which is stimulating new physical and bodily responses may offer some transformative possibilities to our corporate, civic and political bodies.
