Dr Sujata Biswas
Senior Research Fellow in Medicine
Sujata graduated from Cambridge Medical School in 2007 and undertook Core Medical and Gastroenterology training in the Oxford deanery. She was a graduate student at Hertford College from 2014 to 2017 for her DPhil, funded by the MRC. This was on GI cancer stem cell biology in the laboratory of Simon Leedham at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics in Oxford. She was appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire trusts in 2019. She has an interest in therapeutic colonoscopy and is a bowel cancer screening accredited endoscopist. She has been teaching Clinical Medicine at Hertford since 2015 and now coordinates clinical teaching. Sujata’s research interest is in familial colorectal polyposis syndromes.
