Women’s crew rowing to victory

Not since Bucks Fizz won Eurovision for Great Britain, since Charles and Diana got engaged, since ‘Chariots of Fire’ was released, or since the first ever Homebase opened, has the Hertford College Boat Club women’s crew been in the top three boats in the first division of Torpids. Until this year.

Congratulations to the first eight who stormed down the river, bumping other colleges every day of the competition, to finish third in the first division! Their highest ranking in the annual rowing competition since 1981 was a reward for all the hard work they’ve put into training this year.
