MCR virtual Venice run supports charities
21 April 2021
A group of Hertford graduate students are running the 900 miles from our own Bridge of Sighs to the original in Venice without even leaving the country, raising vital funds for four charities in the process.
Our students hatched the plan to keep active over the Easter vacation while supporting causes close to their hearts. Today they reached the 400 mile mark – almost halfway – placing them somewhere around Verdun and the Lorraine nature park in eastern France if they were running the actual route.
The group hope to raise £1,500 and intend to split the funds between Mind, Oxfordshire Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre, the RNLI and the Woodland Trust.
You can support them via JustGiving.
