Oxford Polish Association enjoys festive lunch at Hertford
16 December 2022
The Oxford Polish Association (OPA) held its annual ‘Wigilia’ -Christmas Eve meal- at Hertford College earlier this week. Attended by the Lord Mayor of Oxford, James Fry, and his wife, Susanna Pressel, Chair of Oxford County Council, members of the city’s Polish community enjoyed traditional food, carols and plenty of festive cheer! A big thank you to our bursary colleague Ewa Gluza, who is also the Chair of the OPA, for organising this wonderful event.
The main aim of the OPA is to have a place of support for Polish people for better integration with the local community. OPA helps Poles living and working in Oxford to overcome feelings of isolation and alienation through provision of expert advice, language help, psychological support, organisation of interest groups for adults and children as well as a place to meet new friends, share experiences and help others.
