New Honorary Fellows announced

We are delighted to announce the election of five new Honorary Fellows:
Professor Hagan Bayley
Hagan Bayley is Professor of Chemical Biology at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of the Royal Society. A founder of Oxford Nanopore Technologies, he is internationally recognised for his pioneering work on nanopore technology, synthetic biology and tissue engineering. He has recently been appointed as Principal Scientist at the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford, launching the newly established Materials & Devices for Life Sciences Institute.
Professor Dame Kay Davies
Kay Davies is Dr Lee’s Professor of Anatomy Emeritus at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Hertford College, Oxford. She is director of the Medical Research Council (MRC) functional genetics unit, a governor of the Wellcome Trust, a director of the Oxford Centre for Gene Function, and a patron and Senior Member of Oxford University Scientific Society.
Stephen Massey, Baron Massey of Hampstead
Stephen Massey is a British financier and politician. He studied politics, philosophy and economics at Hertford College and served as President of the Oxford University Conservative Association during his time there. He was appointed as Chief Executive of the Conservative Party from November 2022 to December 2024 and now sits as a Conservative Party peer in the House of Lords.
Professor Ros Rickaby
Ros Rickaby is a professor of biogeochemistry and Chair of Geology at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford. She was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2022 and awarded an OBE in the 2025 New Year Honours for services to biogeochemistry. Other awards include the Outstanding Young Scientist Award (EGU) and The Lyell Medal (London Geological Society).
Dr Kim Stanley Robinson
Kim Stanley Robinson is an American science fiction writer. He has published 22 novels and numerous short stories and his work has been translated into 24 languages. Many of his novels and stories have ecological, cultural, and political themes and feature scientists as heroes. Robinson has won numerous awards, including the Hugo Award for Best Novel, the Nebula Award for Best Novel and the World Fantasy Award.
