EU staff settlement support

Hertford College will pay the fees for all permanent staff from the European Union who wish to settle in the UK after Brexit.

Following the recent announcement by Oxford University that it would be covering the fees for any EU staff wishing to apply for settled status, Hertford’s Bursar, Jamie Clark, announced today that we’ll be making the same commitment to our own college staff.

We’re extremely proud of our dedicated and talented European employees, who form a vital and vibrant part of our college community. Whether they lecture our students, cook our meals, clean our offices or keep our finances and administration in shape, we value each and every one of them. We hope that this support will help to offset the uncertainty of the Brexit negotiations and the currently-unknown future relationship of the UK with the European Union.
