WWI Armistice Centenary

November 2018 marks 100 years since the end of the First World War. To commemorate this centenary, we’re sharing stories from our Archives about the college at war.

Did you know that it was the death of a Hertford student that inspired the two-minute silence we still observe today? Or that the war memorial in Chapel remembers the sacrifice of a scout, separated from the other names? In this series of videos, Archivist Dr Lucy Rutherford and Chaplain Revd Mia Smith shine a light on these stories, exploring how we still remember the lives that were lost and the effects on our community a hundred years later.
