Announcing our Visiting Fellows for 2025–26

We extend a very warm welcome to our 2025–26 Visiting Fellows:
Anthony Geffen
CEO and Creative Director of Atlantic Studios, Anthony Geffen is one of the world’s leading documentary film makers and a pioneer in VR immersive storytelling. He has won over 50 international awards including five British Academy Awards (BAFTAs) and 11 American Emmys, and his films are regularly seen in over 150 countries.
Jenny Bates
Senior UK civil servant Jenny Bates has been announced as the fourth Heywood Fellow, a joint initiative between Hertford College and the Blavatnik School of Government. During her fellowship, Jenny will consider the changing global economic order and seek to develop a refreshed approach, or longer-term strategy, for the UK. She will be a visiting fellow at Hertford College.
Kate McGrath OBE
Kate is the Artistic Director and CEO of Fuel, an award-winning theatre production company based in London. Kate’s Visiting Fellowship was awarded in collaboration with the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities’ Cultural Programme, which brings together local, university and global cultural communities in a physical and digital cultural offer, inspired by the University of Oxford’s research. Kate continues as Visiting Fellow from 2024–25.
