Artificial Intelligence podcast
22 October 2018
A series of podcasts exploring the philosophical and scientific implications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are now available to download as part of the ‘Discover #OxfordAI’ campaign.
Futuremakers is hosted by Hertford’s Gilbert Ryle Fellow and Professor of Philosophy, Peter Millican. The series promises to be your “fly-on-the-wall” into Oxford’s colleges, listening in to key debates about the future of society. This first season deals with AI and its applications, asking probing questions including “are all algorithms biased?” and “how will the automation of jobs likely progress?”.
Peter is joined by colleagues from across the University and beyond, meaning that each episode brings together a wide variety of voices from different academic backgrounds. But the content isn’t just academic – the philosophical debates around AI will shape all of our lives, with the rise of automated robots in workplaces just the start.
Discover more about what the future could hold by listening in to the debates as they happen. Episodes 1 and 2 of Futuremakers are available to download now, with a further two coming soon. You can download the podcasts from Oxford University, iTunes, Google, Spotify and AudioBoom.
