H.E. Mr Edgars Rinkēvičs in conversation with Tom Fletcher

We are excited to welcome Mr Edgars Rinkēvičs, President of the Republic Latvia since July 2023, to Hertford College for a lunchtime event.

Wednesday 29 May 13:00 – 14:00. Old Lodgings, Hertford College

Mr Rinkēvičs was the longest serving Foreign Minister in the history of Latvia (from 2011 until 2023). From 2008 to 2011, he worked as the Head of the Chancery of the President of Latvia during the term of President Valdis Zatlers (2007–2011). He was also a long-serving State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia (from 1997 to 2008), including as the Head of Office for the Organisation of the NATO Summit in Riga (2005–2007) and Deputy Head of the Delegation for the negotiations on Latvia’s accession to NATO (2002–2005).
