Family Christingle Service

5 December 2026

We look forward to welcoming families from all of Hertford’s community to our inaugural Christingle Service on Saturday 5 December 2026.

The service, lasting approximately 30 minutes, will be lead by our Chaplain, Rev. Anthony Buckley, where there will be readings and carols.

Children will be given a Christingle to hold and there will be mince pies and festive drinks after the service.

Please be aware that, as part of the service, children and parents will be invited to hold lit candles. By signing up for this event, you acknowledge that you are responsible for the supervision and safety of any children in your care throughout the service, including while they are holding candles. For younger children, there will also be an option for your child’s Christingle candle to remain unlit. Thank you for helping us ensure that everyone can enjoy this special occasion safely.

To register your place at the Christingle please follow this link to the booking page.

If you have any questions, please contact the Development Team at development.office@hertford.ox.ac.uk
