Academic Visitor Ciaran Martin introduces his new paper at this Blavatnik School of Government event.

Resist, reform or re-run: Short and Long Term Reflections on Scotland and Independence Referendums delves into the constitutional issues related to the referendum, drawing on Ciaran’s direct personal experience from 2014 and the negotiations preceding it.

A conversation with Sir Tom Devine, Scotland’s leading historian and Professor Emeritus at the University of Edinburgh, and Professor Ngaire Woods, dean of the Blavatnik School, will follow.
