“I’m originally from Toronto, Canada where I did my first two degrees before moving to the UK to complete my DPhil at Oxford in the Biochemistry Department. I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Roehampton, London. At Roehampton, I teach both undergraduate and graduate students and I am also research active. This post was a traditional progression from my DPhil via a Postdoctoral fellowship at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City. I currently work in the field of computational biochemistry and biophysics and I am interested in membrane proteins and their interactions with small molecules like drugs. If you are interested in pursuing a career in academia or research and would like some advice or just want to chat about what it’s like to live in many different countries, please don’t hesitate to contact me!”
