” After Hertford I went to drama school (Central School of Speech and Drama) to train in Acting for three years and then found myself very qualified but very unemployed. I started writing comedy with a friend and we performed it together in pubs and clubs around London, calling ourselves the very original ‘Croft & Pearce’. Since then we’ve taken live shows to the Edinburgh Fringe, toured lots around the UK and written for TV, as well as having our own comedy series on BBC Radio 4. I also write for satirical websites (Reductress and The Daily Mash) and for TV (The Mash Report, Have I Got News For You), and I have a sideline as a copywriter for entertainment advertising.
I would be happy to have a chat or coffee with anyone who is interested in pursuing a creative/ writing/ performing career and doesn’t know where to start, or is wondering how on earth they’ll pay the rent!”
