  • Alignment of individual values and behaviours with the values of the NHS Constitution.
Academic potential
  • Problem-solving: critical thinking, analytical approach
  • Intellectual curiosity: keenness to understand the reason for observations; depth; tendency to look for meaning; enthusiasm and curiosity in science
  • Communication skills: willingness and ability to express clearly and effectively; ability to listen; compatibility with tutorial format

Logistics and technology

You will need a device with access to Microsoft Teams, a microphone and webcam to take part in the interviews. You may also find it helpful to have a pen and paper to hand during your interview. Take a look at our Online Interviews Technology page to find out more and watch an introductory video. If you have any questions or concerns about the technology set-up, you should email undergraduate.admissions@hertford.ox.ac.uk and we’ll do our best to help.

If there is a technical problem and we lose each other, we will reschedule. Do not be anxious about this – no one will be disadvantaged due to their internet connection. Remember: you should not discuss the content of your interview with anyone else until the process has been completed in January.
