“At Oxford, I enjoyed my law degree, but I was equally interested in the creative side of university life- student film making, journalism and music (along with plenty of socialising)…
My career in media law has allowed me to nurture my creative interests while capitalising on my legal skills.  I advise clients in the film, television and creative industries on commercial and intellectual property issues associated with all aspects of financing, development, production and exploitation of content across traditional and new media platforms.  It is a sociable and relaxed area of law, where you are unlikely to be asked to dress formally or work all hours.  I act for a lot of high- profile clients on well-known productions and get a buzz from seeing posters on tube billboards for the film I’m working on, or magazine articles dropping ‘bombshells’ that I’ve known about for months!  There are also fun perks, like invitations to film premieres.
