Socio-economic inequality fellowship

Economics Fellow Dr Teodora Boneva has been awarded a coveted Jacobs Foundation Research Fellowship, giving her the opportunity to research socio-economic inequality.

Teodora, who joined Hertford last year, was awarded a 36-month fellowship of 150,000 Swiss francs by the Jacob Foundation’s Board of Trustees. During the fellowship, Teodora will investigate the sources and consequences of socio-economic inequality in childhood, complementing her current work on the role of beliefs in educational investment decisions and the role of educational interventions in fostering skills in childhood.

Founded by German entrepreneur Klaus J. Jacobs, The Jacobs Foundation invests in the future of young people so that they become socially responsible, productive members of society. The Research Fellowship programme is a globally-competitive scheme for early and mid-career researchers. Congratulations Teodora!
