Law Text Book Sponsorship

Hertford is extremely grateful to Mayer Brown International LLP for their generous sponsorship of textbooks for law students for the next five years. Many students find it difficult to purchase all the textbooks that they need for their law course especially as often these cannot be bought second-hand as textbooks frequently up-date. By sponsoring the purchase of law textbooks we can ensure that all students have the right resources for their course.

Rachel Hunter, a second year law student who was instrumental in securing the sponsorship during her term as President of the Stuart Anderson Society (the College’s Law Society) comments that

‘this extremely generous donation from Mayer Brown will lift a significant financial burden and will, perhaps more importantly, allow us to use our textbooks much more effectively. Having a completely up-to-date library will allow us to use a range of textbooks to consolidate our learning, rather than relying on one author’s interpretation of each subject. This textbook sponsorship will therefore benefit us both financially and academically and so will be truly invaluable to Hertford law students both now and for many years to come.
