Ewa Gluza – Inspiring the Community
9 March 2018
As part of centenary celebrations marking 100 years since women were given the right to vote in Poland, the Polish Embassy in the UK has been running an initiative to highlight ‘exceptional women who inspire the Polish community in Britain’ called #Polka100.
We are delighted that our very own Ewa Gluza, who works in the bursary, is one of the campaign’s finalists. Recently elected as a parish councillor in Blackbird Leys, Ewa says: “Local councillors in this country do not merely sit behind their desks; they run around really helping people out. I believe I would be good at it.”
Ewa’s profile, along with more information about the initiative, can be found on the Polish Embassy website. Congratulations to Ewa for all that she has done to inspire her local community both at Hertford and the wider world.
