Shami Chakrabarti lecture ‘On Liberty’

Shami Chakrabarti CBE, Director of Liberty and the Chancellor of Oxford Brookes University, will be giving this year’s John Donne lecture in the Sheldonian Theatre, titled ‘On Liberty’.

The John Donne lecture is an annual lecture held by Hertford College. Previous keynote speakers include Tony Hall on living with creativity, Lord (Gus) O’Donnell on the use of behavioural economics to increase public wellbeing, President Mary Robinson on climate justice, Professor Paul Muldoon and Dr Toby Barnard.

This lecture is free and open to all. Seats will not be allocated in the Sheldonian Theatre; doors open from 4.30pm.
