Join Hertford Fellow and Oxford Professor of Sleep Physiology Vladyslav Vyazovskiy for a fascinating deep-dive into the world of sleep. Our knowledge about sleep has grown exponentially in the last decades, but strikingly it did not bring us closer to understanding what sleep is about in the first place. The central question Vlad and his team are trying to tackle is “Why do we sleep?”, looking at both the mechanisms that regulate our sleep and the biological purpose of sleep.
