Virtual Open Days
1 July 2020 - 2 July 2020
Welcome to Hertford, the friendly college with the bridge! Join our live student Q&A below (between 10:00 and 18:00) and head over to our main Open Days site where you can ask questions and watch all our other videos.
What’s on?
On both days we’ll be available online, with current students, staff and tutors there to answer your questions. We’ll have a wide variety of current undergraduates staffing our live Student Q&A Panel throughout Wednesday and Thursday from 10am – 6pm, where you’ll be able to ask any questions you might have about life at Hertford and studying at Oxford.
You can Meet Our Tutors in recorded introductions to all of the courses we offer at Hertford College, which also include answers to the most frequently asked questions. If you’d like to ask any further questions, we’ll have a dedicated chat room staffed by academic tutors and admissions staff from 1pm – 3pm on both days. Not every college offers every subject – visit the University website to find out which colleges offer your course.
College life is one of the most distinctive parts of studying at Oxford, so we’ve recorded a brand-new Virtual College Tour to give you the low down on life at Hertford. Don’t forget that any questions you may have can be answered in the Student Q&A Panel.
Another distinctive feature of Oxford is our tutorial teaching style, so we’ve recorded some Mock Tutorials to give you a flavour of what it’s like. We often say that Oxford interviews are like tutorials in many ways – a conversation about your subject – so these videos should give you an insight into what you might be asked at interview too.
Planning your day
There’s loads to see on an Open Day, with all the University’s colleges and departments open to visitors online. The main University webpage will be covering all the basics of applying to Oxford so, if you’re unsure about how the whole process works, this could be a good place to start.
