Hertford Talking: setting the green agenda
25 June 2015
Hertford College will be hosting a talk in London on the green agenda, followed by a networking drinks reception.
We warmly invite anyone interested in attending to join us.
Speakers include:
- Andrew Goudie (Head of Oxford’s School of Geography 1984-94, and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society)
- Mike Clarke (CEO of Royal Society for the Protection of Birds)
- Georgina Domberger (Director at Whitley Fund for Nature)
- Matthew Quinn (Director, Environment and Sustainable Development in the Department for Natural Resources in the Welsh Government)
Read more about our speakers in the programme.
Our panel will be discussing the big issues of the day – and you can pose your own questions too. Should ecology and conservation play a greater role in education? Is the green agenda a big enough part of political debate? How sustainable can we really be?
Venue:Â The Willis Building, 51 Lime Street, London EC3M 7DQ
Timings: debate 6.30pm – 7.15pm, followed by a drinks reception until 8pm
Charge: £10 (includes drinks and canapés)
This event was inspired by the centenary of Gavin Maxwell, a Hertford alumnus known for his best-selling book Ring of Bright Water, which sold over a million copies and inspired a generation of naturalists.
