Hertford Regions: Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland

We are delighted to announce our third Hertford Regions event will be taking place on Tuesday 16 March 2021 at 5pm. This time we’ll be focussing on our Northern Irish and Irish connections and those with an interest in the wider subject.
After two successful Hertford Regions events for alumni in China and Asia in 2020, we are very much looking forward to our first 2021 event. With St. Patrick’s Day the following day, we thought it would be a fantastic opportunity to come together, enjoy a short academic talk, and network.
The event will begin with an introduction from Principal Tom Fletcher, followed by a short talk by Foster Professor of Irish History, Ian McBride, who will be exploring the history of the partition, which will see its centenary in June.
Attendees will then have the opportunity to network with other Hertfordians in breakout rooms.
