Hertford Reads…. McEwan’s Solar

On Sunday 8th Week (Dec 1st), Hertford College welcomes the Man Booker prize-winning novelist Ian McEwan, whose novels include Atonement, Enduring Love, and Saturday, as part of the Hertford Conversations series with Will Hutton. In preparation for this event the college is organising a one-off reading group focusing on McEwan’s award-winning novel Solar. We hope for this to be a very informal occasion to give all members of Hertford College, students and staff, an opportunity to read and discuss McEwan’s work. The group will convene on the evening of Thursday 28th November, 7.30 in the Old Lodgings Drawing Room. The first ten people to sign up will receive a free copy of Solar.
