Darwin Dinner
10 March 2014
Hertford’s Life Sciences tutors are holding a dinner in college for all Hertford Biochemists, Biologists and Human Scientists, past and present.
The evening will start with a social/networking event from 6 pm, with dinner served in Hall at 7.30 pm. After the dinner, Alison Woollard will give a short talk on a Darwin-related theme, reflecting on her recent experience of giving the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures.
We feel that it is exciting times for our subjects, and that we would like to share some of our passion and excitement with you, whether you have stayed in Life Sciences or not, but perhaps even more importantly than this we would value your input in establishing a subject based academic and professional network for Hertford Life Sciences. Our undergraduates (and also of course our graduate students) are facing a challenging employment market and often tell us that access to graduates that have had a similar training at university to themselves but may have gone off in a whole variety of professional (and life!) directions would be extremely valuable, as well as great fun! Â Hopefully, this will be a great opportunity for some of you to reconnect with the college in this extraordinarily useful, important and innovative way.

The cost of the three course dinner and drinks reception will be ÂŁ30, and the dress code will be smart/casual. If you would like to attend please RSVP using eventbrite before Monday 24th February. Any alumni queries can be directed to the Development Office by telephoning 01865 279428.
Student registrations will be organised by Sophia Lowes.
