A Conversation with the Bursar

On behalf of the Principal, Will Hutton, and the Bursar, Jamie Clark, we are delighted to invite you to a presentation on college finances, which will be held at the London office of Reed Smith LLP on Wednesday 12th February 2020.
The next ten years will be a transformative period for Hertford as we overhaul the Catte Street site and create new accommodation in North Oxford, improving all areas of college life. In 2024 we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the college being refounded, and this project will ensure that Hertford continues to provide the best possible student experience.
As we embark on this new era for Hertford, we are keen to bring alumni and supporters into the conversation about the management of college finances and future projects.
This evening will be a ‘behind the scenes at Hertford’, and we will cover the following topics: How do the college’s finances fit together? What happens to tuition fees? Where does conference business and the endowment income fit in? How will the building projects be funded?
There will be a presentation with Q&A from the Bursar and the Principal, followed by a drinks reception.
