Social activities
During your time at Hertford College, you will have the opportunity to socialise with students of the University of Oxford, and with students from other universities all over the world.

Your team of Residential Advisors will run social activities for you as part of your programme. On the days you have classes or lectures, the RAs will organise either an afternoon or evening activity to help you experience Oxford like a full-time student. Our groups enjoy trips to traditional English pubs, board game and quiz nights, karaoke socials, tours of libraries and museums, and a host of other engaging social activities. Spring and summertime are the ideal times to see Oxford at its best. Oxford boasts many beautiful green spaces perfect for sports fixtures, strolls, picnics, and punting.
Your RAs can tailor their schedule of social activities to fit the wants and needs of your group. Please don’t hesitate to approach them with suggestions of activities that you would like to do during your time in Oxford.
RAs frequently host social events which give students from our partner organisations opportunities to get to know each other. This allows our students to practice their English, build confidence, make friends, and learn about other cultures.
