Our Promise on Food

Hertford College is committed to delivering the best available produce that it can to its range of diners. To both our members and our guests, we are always keen to ensure that we provide fresh, quality food, using produce that has been sourced responsibly, without causing unnecessary harm to the environment. To achieve that goal, we promise the following:

Local Produce

Wherever possible, we will always strive to prioritise the sourcing of good quality, locally-sourced produce.

Sustainable Food

We will seek, wherever it is possible, to provide alternatives to unsustainable and threatened produce; and to avoid the use of foods whose production is believed to be of lasting harm to the environment.

Ethical Procurement

Wherever we can, we will strive to ensure that the produce we serve has been sourced in an ethical manner, in particular to those people that produced it.
