Dr Paul Coones

It is with great sadness that we announce the news that Dr Paul Coones died on 17 September. Appointed a fellow in Geography in 1990 after teaching at the college for some years, Paul retired in 2012. Amongst his many roles at Hertford he served as Steward of the Senior Common Room, edited the college magazine and was Dean of Degrees – and he spent a distinguished year as the University Assessor from 2007 to 2008. A talented musician, he was for many years the leader of the Hertford Bruckner Orchestra and master-mind of their exceptional performances.

The funeral will be held on Monday 1st October at 2.15 pm in the Chapel.
