Hertford Economics Summit

28 September 2012 - 29 September 2012

On behalf of the Principal and Fellows of Hertford College we are delighted to invite you to our first Economics Summit, held in honour of the late Roger Van Noorden.  Not only will there be a number of interesting speakers giving insights on life after Economics at Oxford, but there will be a great opportunity to use some of the latest modelling tools from the Saïd Business School and to hear our current Fellows discuss their research.

Dates: Friday the 28th and Saturday the 29th of September
Time: 12.30 pm on Friday to 12 noon on Saturday
Dress: Business attire
Cost: ÂŁ50 per person
RSVP: Friday the 14th of September

The Fellowship appeal was launched at the end of 2010 to reflect the wishes of the College and the Van Noorden family to establish a lasting tribute to the work of Roger Van Noorden. The full cost of endowing the College’s share of the post in perpetuity is £800,000 and we have already secured £270,000 towards this total. More information on the Fellowship can be found here.

There is a charge of ÂŁ50 for this event and accommodation is available in College at a further cost of ÂŁ50 per single room. You are welcome to bring a guest.

We have already had many expressions of interest and therefore recommend early booking to avoid disappointment; places are limited and allocation will be made strictly on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that we shall be using the Baring Room and Hall, both of which can only be accessed via long staircases.

Please complete the reply slip and return it to the Members’ and Development Office by post or email indicating how you wish to pay. Payment can be made by cheque made payable to Hertford College or credit/debit card over the telephone on 01865 279428. For cancellations after the 14th of September, please note that we will regretfully be unable to make any refunds.
