Not Islands: John Donne Lecture 2013

The 2013 Hertford John Donne lecture was delivered on Friday 15 March by Lord (Gus) O’Donnell, who took Donne’s famous ‘No man is an island’ quotation as his inspiration for a discussion of public policy. At the dinner, Dame Liz Forgan proposed the toast to the speaker, and Principal Will Hutton the toast to the college. A great evening masterminded by the Development Office, Executive Chef Eamonn Bennett and his team, and Antony Barrett and the waiting staff – thankyou to all who made it such a success, and to our guests, alumni, and supporters who graced the event.
