College chef climbs Kilimanjaro for charity

Our acting head chef Ben Gibbons has taken on a charitable challenge: to climb all 5,895 metres of Mount Kilimanjaro in September 2016.
Interviewed in today’s Oxford Mail, Ben said: “I am extremely lucky to be able to do something I love, which is why I think it’s about time for me to be taken out of my comfort zone and thrown into the heart of Africa.”
He has raised ÂŁ3,900 for Helen and Douglas House, and is still accepting donations on his JustGiving page. His fundraising efforts include hosting a three-course meal in Hertford’s Hall on 12 March.
