Boat club drinks

Join the Hertford College Boat Club Society at The Blue Anchor in Hammersmith to cheer on the Women’s 1st VIII as they take on the mighty Women’s Eights Head of the River Race (WeHoRR). This pub has a prime position on the Lower Mall by Hammersmith Bridge, affording it one of the best views of the race (especially when you consider proximity to a bar).

Catch up with crew mates and college friends, meet some of the current club rowers, and reminisce about the good old days on the Isis. All are welcome, even if the closest you got to rowing was Pimm’s at the boat house on Saturday of Eights.

We have the River Room booked exclusively for our use from 11am until 6pm. There will be nibbles provided, but please come help to boost the bar bill so that we get our deposit back.

We will be asking for a £10 donation on the day. This is to cover the costs of putting on the event and to contribute to the running costs of the boat club. The HCBC Society provides a large proportion of the funds necessary to keep the boat club afloat, and events such as this one provide the money to do so. Current students go free.
