Aruna Nair read law at Brasenose College, Oxford, graduating in 2006. She went on to complete an LLM at UCL and a DPhil at Oxford, again at Brasenose. After six years as a lecturer at King’s College London, she returned to Oxford to join Hertford at a Tutorial Fellow in 2019.
Aruna’s research and teaching focus on the law of trusts and land law. Her research is driven by the question how the law’s respect for the private autonomy of owners can be rendered consistent with its respect for other values and interests.
