Students on the A100 Medicine course must read the following subjects in year 1

  • BM Organisation of the Body
  • BM Biochemistry and Medical Genetics
  • BM Physiology & Pharmacology
  • BM Medical Sociology

  • BM Systems of the Body: Integrative Aspects
  • BM Principles of Pathology
  • BM Neuroscience

 Students in the last term of year 2 and the three terms of year 3 sit the Final year Honours School (FHS) in Medical Sciences, which consists of a 6-8 week laboratory project, a 3,000 word extended essay and one of the following FHS Options

  •                 FHS Neuroscience
  •                 FHS Myocardial, Respiratory and Vascular Biology (MVR)
  •                 FHS Infection & Immunity (I&I)
  •                 FHS Signalling in Health & Disisease
  •                 FHS Molecular Medicine

In the final three weeks of the third year course students are required to sit the Principles of Clinical Anatomy course in preparation for starting Clinical School
