Course structure

The mathematics degree is challenging, covering a broad range of topics across this fascinating subject. During the first two years students study a wide variety of topics in pure and applied mathematics, but from later in the second year they may focus on parts of mathematics of especial interest to them. In particular, in the third and fourth year there is a great range of choices available to them, reflecting the breadth of expertise in the Mathematical Institute.
