Torpids 2018

We have college boats racing in Torpids all of this week. Why not come down to the river (weather permitting) to cheer on Hertford. Keep checking here and on the Boat Club Website for updates on racing and schedules. #fearthedeer

Wednesday 28 February

We have four boats competing in Torpids this year. Our W1 boat, who are going for a record achievement in this year’s competition in the women’s Division I, were bumped by Pembroke and, although they bumped Christ Church just before crossing the finish, this was later successfully appealed. Our M1, also competing in Division I, were bumped by Christ Church, and our M2, competing in Division IV, bumped University College. The Hertford vicors from day 1 have to be our W2 boat (pictured below) who bumped Mansfield in Division V going on to compete in Division IV subsequently where they bumped Trinity College, thus securing themselves a position in the fixed divisions.
