Hertfordian Dennis Prior has been awarded the prestigious Association of Art Historians Postgraduate Dissertation Prize for Architecture/Not Architecture: Towards a Reconsideration of Architectural Aesthetics and the Function Reflex, which he submitted last year for the Oxford degree of Master of Studies in History of Art and Visual Culture. Since completing his studies and returning to Australia in late 2012, Dennis has been teaching Architectural Design at the University of Melbourne and at Monash University, and has also established an independent architecture practice – A Priori and After Architecture – through which he hopes to continue to explore his interest in the relationship between architectural and artistic practice.
